Description Martin van Es 2009-11-28 13:20:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Kgpg is the only icon that I can't get to display unhidden in the systray. It allways hides itself, even when I set it to display in the auto hide settings panel of the systray aplet.

Just for the records: there was a similar report in bug 198483 which is unrelated so I asked Martin to file a new bug as I don't see how I could cause this behaviour in KGpg.

I'm now using 4.4beta1 and have tested it myself: works for me.
Comment 3 Jonathan Thomas 2010-01-08 16:31:31 UTC
There is a codepath in kgpg that sets the tray icon status to passive, so it is possible that kgpg is hiding itself. I really don't think this is a tray bug.

Passive is "I have nothing requiring attention, hide me if you are not told otherwise" AFAIK. And that codepath is only ever hit if you did some context menu action using the clipboard.

Fixed in 4.4.1. if I set the systray 'Auto hide' setting to 'Always visible' for kgpg.
