why does it take half an hour to submit a crash report (why does it require a kde.org account)

* This is bug 200717. * We need a *valid* email account because, 99% of the times, we need to contact back the reporter to ask for more information. (I wonder if you are going to get this reply...) * You are the first user complaining about the crash reporting tool since 5 months and 5000 thousand reports created by the tool (by "normal" users). In fact, most of the people prefer the new crash reporting tool to use bugzilla directly. * The tool was already improved a lot in KDE4.4 to not waste users nor developers time that much. * Some times the bugzilla server gets busy and the crash reporting tool will take some time to access the bugs database. * You are encouraged to propose your suggestions are improvements filing a bug in the "drkonqi" product here in bugs.kde.org. If you had some specific problems with the application workflow, please detail us about that. Regards *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 200717 *** |
