but now windows activates by clicking and also no window element (button...) reacts to, should have been: but NO window activates by clicking ... Er.. I have also experiencing this bug with the last Xorg updates on ArchLinux (1.7), and I fixed it disabling the Mouse Gestures on the Input Actions KCM (System Settings/Input Actions/Settings/Uncheck the Gesture options/Restart) - Can you check if this steps fix your bug too ? (so then we can reassign this to the Gestures manager developer) Thanks hm, disabling mouse gestures really seems to have fixed the issue. i tried it for several days now and everything's fine. so how exactly can this be re-assigned to gesture manager developer? The khotkeys maintainer was already cc'd but had no time :) Are you still able to reproduce this problem? I guess the gesture code tries to catch a gesture and never releases the mouse again. Now if i find a way to check what x11 thinks about the mouse we could test the theory :( . I just activated gestures again and the problem still exists. I can only get my mouse working again after restarting X. how can I help you? I still see the same problem with kde4.4.x and X server 1.7; I tested with with X server 1.6.x and kde4.3.x . The bug happens if I click and hold the mouse gesture button, in my case the middle mouse button, for a rather longer time 5-10sec. , if I am fast enough I can escape it. I think the title of this bug needs to be updated to mention mouse gestures (I had a hard time finding it :/). Any news about this? Ping. A workaround, short of logging out, would be good too... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 173606 *** |
