Ken, if the music doesn't play, then you most likely don't have the codecs installed. As for Amarok 2.2, there are no packages for Jaunty so far, but it will ship with Kubuntu 9.10 aka Karmic Koala, to be released on October 29th. This is a duplicate and a bug in Phonon, not in Amarok. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 183597 *** Myriam,
It is good to hear from you again.
Question: where do I find the codecs and how do I upgrade my
repositories? The latest amarok I have is amarok 2:2.1.1.
Is there a later one out there? Frankly, this version is the most
unstable one (2:2.1.1) I have yet to work with.
Thanks,
ken

Ken, you need to install the libxine1-ffmpeg package. You can also find additional help in our forum here: http://forum.kde.org/amarok |
