Version:           0.80.2 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 3", openSUSE Factory)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.1-3-desktop

 IRC has been supported by KDE3-Kopete and is now also supported by Pidgin. I would regard IRC-support as mandatory for a good instant messenger although it is a multichat rather than a classical p2p chat system.
