I suggest also to add "PLACES" in the context menu of "copy to"/"move to" functionality. I often sort my downloads and this functionality will save my time. places are already there if you click `browse', what is really missing in `copy/move to' menu is passive panel path (if it is open). > places are already there if you click `browse'
But it decreases usability of the feature. I have to open additional dialog, but feature copy to/move to considered to reduce number of opened dialogs.
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 An interesting idea, but I think this would confuse a lot of our users, and it's a fairly advanced concept. The simplest approach is just to cut/copy the file, hit Ctrl+up arrow until you reach the folder where you want the file to live, and paste it there. If you want to copy a file from your Downloads folder to your Home folder, there's an entry for it in the places panel and you can just drag it there. |
