Description Philippe Didier 2009-09-22 16:52:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Description of problem:

loading a new audioCD doesn't modify the display of the content of the audioCD

Version-Release number of selected component: 2.1.85-1
(Mandriva 2010.0 cooker) with phonon-xine or phonon-gstreamer

How reproducible:
Everytime you insert a new audioCD after a previous first one

Steps to Reproduce:
1.insert an audioCD : the audioCD appears in the local collection with the name
of artist, the title of the album, the titles of the tracks and the cover are
displaied...... OK !
2.eject this audioCD : the audioCD disappears from the local collection
3.insert an other audioCD : Amarok displays everything from the first one ! (no refresh)
4.insert a third audioCD : Amarok displays everything from the first one !

Workaround :
You need to quit Amarok and launch it again before inserting a new audioCD...
then the content will be correctly displaied...

This is a bug in the kio_audiocd used by Amarok, reassigning.
Comment 2 Philippe Didier 2009-09-26 15:51:13 UTC
Not so sure it's a kio_audiocd bug !!
Kscd seems to use it too : when I eject an audioCD and load another one, the title, the author and the list of tracks are modified in Kscd display...
Perhaps it's an Amarok bug : can Amarok get the notification of the change of the audiocd as well as Kscd ?

Comment 4 Thorsten Hirsch 2009-10-08 22:09:07 UTC
Bug still exists in the nightly builds (Ubuntu).
Comment 5 Nicholas Sanders 2009-11-17 03:02:10 UTC
I also experience this behavior with KDE 4.3.3 on Gentoo.

Workaround: Kill kio_audiocd process before inserting a new CD. The contents of the new CD will then display correctly.
