Description David Nemeskey 2009-08-30 14:53:29 UTC
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If I select a track in my collection, open the "Track Details" dialog via the context menu, do some modification and then close the dialog, the whole collection list is refreshed. The track(s) loses focus/selection and the collection scrollbar jumps to the beginning of the collection.

This behavior ruins keyboard navigation, as well as user experience, if the user wants to edit several tracks, he/she has to go back to the same place over and over again. Not to mention that jumping doesn't even good, especially that the refresh is not instantenous; it's difficult to explain, but some "blickering" is noticeable.

Correct behavior: the collection list should not move at all, focus & selection should remain intact. Only the affected tracks should be updated, and even then, only if a visible attribute has changed, e.g. the name.
