it just select()'s and appears to wait on something. Kontact uses up to 4-6 % of CPU on my IBM ThinkPad T42 with Pentium M 1.8 GHz CPU.
I'm having the same problem; I think it started one month ago and it's really annoying since every second E-Mail gets stuck. If needed I can provide a strace or other debug info too. *** Bug 210414 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Do you still have this with updated kmail versions now? No, I didn't experience kmail/kontact hanging after/whie sending an email any more. May have been a bug in early 4.3? Closing for the moment, just reopen in case the problem returns |
