can you attach the mail instead of pasting it, please. What format do you want the attachment in? (And how would I export it in to that format?) Thanks. On Friday 07 August 2009, Leon Maurer wrote:

Just right-click on the mail, choose "Save As..." and upload that file, which is in mbox format.
Thanks.

Thanks. The explanation for kmails behavior: When you hit reply, it tries to be smart and check to whom to reply to. In this case (the first of the 3 mails you attached) has no specific "Reply-To" header, so the next thing kmail checks is to see if there is a "List-Post:" header - which this mail has - and uses this one. If there was no such header, the last thing kmail would use was the "From" header - which is what you would expect, I assume. To reply to the Author instead, simply click-hold the reply Toolbutton and wait that the pulldown menu appears and select "Reply to Author". Interesting. Is there a way to make "reply to Author" the default? On Saturday 08 August 2009, Leon Maurer wrote: Sorry, no. Other mail clients treat it the same way kmail does. The next attachment is one that others don't have trouble with. Let me know if the same explanation holds. Thanks. On Saturday 08 August 2009, Leon Maurer wrote: Yes, it's the same. You can check this easily by selecting the mail, pressing "V" (View Source) and look for a line in the headers starting with "List-Post:" In this case it's also List-Post: <mailto:notphysics@physics.wisc.edu> |
