Version:            (using KDE 4.2.98)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

I was running marble desktop when it filed my home dir with messages in .xsession-errors (I already filled that bug...) sometime later plasma crashed and wiped my configuration (I had an extra panel that disappeared) widgets reverted to the default layout, etc

this is a problem in kconfig, not plasma.

Bug 160980 is related but that should be fixed long time ago. May be it is a new case.
