Description Martin F. 2009-07-28 18:27:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.98)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When accessing a local samba share in dolphin via smb://xx.xx.xx.xx, dolphin seems to have some kind of permission problem:
Folders and files can be created/pasted, but existing files can not be modified/deleted in dolphin.
With kde3/konqueror AND kde4/konqueror, everything (rename, delete files) works fine via smb://xx.xx.xx.xx .

- the samba share is "public", it does not have any restrictions/no permissions are needed
- the message which is shown when trying to rename a file:
"Datei smb://xx.xx.xx/... kann nicht umbenannt werden."
English: "The file smb://xx.xx.xx.xx... can not be renamed."

Expected behaviour: Dolphin should rename/delete files as wanted by the user.

the text above might be a bit confusing: only files are affected by this problem, renaming/deleting folders DOES work!
