I'm new to linux so I just wanted to add that I have windows 7 installed on my machine, I partitioned my hard drive to install ubuntu 9.04 after which I used the synaptic package manager to install kubuntu-desktop 1.122. I was not having any issues with gnome. Thanks for your help. Do you know this application "Jockey" ? because I'm pretty sure it is not part of the official KDE application. Thanks I'm not sure about the program. I had gnome installed and the only thing I did was install the kubuntu desktop from synaptic. I have since figured out a temporary solution. I figured out how to changed my resolution (not through xserver nividia) but by display settings. When I restart it still shows up in 2720x1024. which obviously isn't supported by my 17in laptop. Please report the bug to: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jockey/+bugs Thanks! Please report the bug to: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jockey/+bugs Thanks! Ok, additionally I fixed the problem, temporarily. I changed the resolution back to 1440x900, but every time I restart it starts in 2700x1250. Any ideas? *** Bug 200202 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
