From the old "summary": «the dragon player does not play a DVD (movie). Earlier it played video but I didn't get any idea. So I reisntalled Kubuntu...but now neither video nor audio. I get a notification that "dragon" needs additional multimedia packages installed.» Do you get some error message? Or just no video/audio output at all? (As a workaround you could try with a different player like VLC or SMPlayer) Thanks You should looks for user supported at the Ubuntu forums as this seems to be a problem related to Kubuntu (the message about installing "codecs" to be able to reproduce some types of media). Take a look at http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=334 or you can also create an account and create a new thread in the forum asking for help on how to solve the problem. Thanks! No error message. Ok. I'll try my luck with VLC player Thanks.
