Version:            (using KDE 4.2.4)
Compiler: gcc version 4.4.0 20090526 (prerelease)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Unspecified Linux

"Recently Used" tab in kickoff should be configurable (as it is menu of recent documents in kde 3.5)

this is a security issue as "recently used" tab reveals easy access to the sensitive documents which were recently opened.

It should be possible to set "Recently Used" tab history to 0
Keeping only available under right click "Clear Recent Documents" is a step back in terms of usability, it forces user to remember that before leaving session "Recently used" should be cleared up.

There are two similar posts in the bug section;
first

was left without response
in the second:

developer absolutely missed the point stating that he is "not in a favor of the "8 billion configuration options that really don't
improve life measurably" philosophy"
