If you forward or reply to a message, the icon changes so you see you have replied (or forwarded) the message. I'd like to know what are the messages related to this message. 

Therefore, a search might be useful. I use threaded messages, but if you don't, it's possible you want to search for other incoming messages from the same thread. Also searching for your send messages related to this thread is very useful.

The description of bug #199407 is a bit different: would fixing this bug also mean reaching replies / forward messages easily?

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
