A couple of "wrong message when using emoticons with the OTR plugin" bugs were fixed and detailed here: bug 182114. Could you please look at it and check if they are related? Thanks OTR plugin is not enabled in this conversation, and it happens even if I disable it. By the way its "Directorybranches/KDE/4.1/" , and mine is 4.2.4. Doesn't it matter? (And the submitter used KDE4.2.0) The fixed for bug 182114 were done at 4.3trunk code some time ago, so I guess the issue was fixed in 4.3, 4.2.x code may be still affected. But as you said it is unrelated to OTR then they may be different bugs. Thanks does it help if you turn off OTR? As I already said , it doesnt matters if I turn it off, on. And with that contact of mine, we never used OTR. I only use OTR with my jabber/xmpp contacts. (And about 1-2 person on MSN). Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time.
