You report a bug for 0.10.0-beta6... This is not serious. 0.10.0 final release is out. also 1.0.0-beta1 ! Please update and try again. If i run the program as a root from terminal, it works perfectly
if i open the application from task manager, then the view is blank per

You need to enable digikam's debug messages (code 50003) using the "kdebugdialog" utility. Do I understand you correctly that the problem is only present if you run digikam as your normal user, and it works if you run as superuser? Have you verified that you dont have two different versions installed? New digiKam 4.11.0 is available. https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible. I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary. Gilles Caulier |
