Andy, This is always true with current implementation ? Gilles Caulier This is no global shortcut, at least not on my system. When I switch to OpenOffice for example while KIPI apps are running, the rotation plugin is NOT triggered. 1. Is this still a problem? 2. If yes please attach your version of $KDEHOME/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc with KDEHOME usually $HOME/.kde or $HOME/.kde4. *** Bug 219523 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I did some more research on this, the following is the outcome: - It seems this happens only in certain situations, not on default installations - it seems somehow the keyboard shortcuts for the kipi-plugins are set as "global" shortscuts in addition to the normal "local" shortcuts in KIPI/KPhotoAlbum - My Ticket is actually a duplicate of Ticket https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196902 - Changing the assignment in the global KDE settings dialog did not work for me, it did re-display the old assignment again afterwards - Also changing the assignment of the "global" shortcuts (the third column) to "none" in the settings for keyboard shortcuts in KPA is reverted back as soon as I restart KPA, why that is I cannot understand. so I am stuck here, there are all the options to change these assignments available everywhere, but none work, which is very annoying :( Created attachment 39288 [details]
Dialog that shows the actions both as local and global keyboard actions
Created attachment 81426 [details] kglobalshortcuts I can see this bug on Kubuntu 12.04.2 LTS with KPhotoalbum GIT version commit b31c4a1bf5e338f06f7ea53d3ba68060876f63ee Author: Jesper K. Pedersen <blackie@kde.org> Date: Thu Mar 7 11:19:31 2013 -0800 removed profiling debugging output The global+local KIPI shortcuts are visible in KPA -> settings -> configure shortcuts I also tried to trigger it with Gwenview but I wasn't able to see options for KIPI plugin shortcuts there at all. kglobalshortcutsrc attached. |
