Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Please add the ability for the user to add his favourite applications to the Quicklaunch plasmoid. Thanks

is this a request to add applications to the quicklauncher (which you can already do using drag and drop), or is this a request to have quicklauncher automatically show whatever is in your "favourite applications" list (as seen in kickoff, for instance)?

This is a request, to add applications to the quicklauncher, which is not obvious to the user that is possible via drag and drop. So in addition to drag and drop, another method is necessary. Possible an "add application" tree like there was in the KDE 3 panel.

That's not what I was asking for, but it sounds like a great idea!

I'd like to add that:

Right Clicking and Adding From Menu would be a helpful feature for users, and esp if you expect KDE to compete in the Enterprise space.

Right click functionality for add-to-quicklaunch is discussed in bug 193037. I definitely think that the ability to link quicklaunch to the kicker favorites list or the recent applications/documents lists would be handy.

I know recent documents are linked through .desktop files in ~/.kde/share/apps/recentDouments, not sure about the others.

Thanks, Thomas, that makes this a dupe. Marking as such.
