Version:           0.70.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler:          GCC4.4 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

In the KDE 3 releases, kopete had support for this widely used protocol, but 
it seems that in the new version it has been dropped, which is a pity. In my opinion, although there are some good IRC clients, it would be good if kopete had IRC support again.
