Description bazwal 2009-05-11 20:16:40 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs

When previewing documents with katepart in konqueror, some of the menus are not merged correctly.

1. katepart's bookmarks menu does not replace konqueror's, so there are two bookmarks menus in the menu bar.

2. katepart's cut, copy and paste do not replace konqueror's in the edit menu. This can be very confusing when adding these buttons to the toolbars - e.g konqueror's copy button will work as expected with files/folders and web pages, but will remain disabled when previewing documents in katepart. The only (very ugly) workaround at present is to add a second group of buttons to the katepart toolbar. There really needs to be just one set of cut/copy/paste buttons which will work for all components.

3. There is a conflict created between katepart's undo and konqueror's undo:closed window since they will usually get the same keyboard shortcut (ctrl+z).

Using kde 4.6 I have:
1) Only one bookmarks menu
2) Edit->Cut/Copy/Paste doubled, File->Print as well
3) No conflict for keyboard shortcut ctrl+z, launched action is konqueror's
undo:closed window
