Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler:          gcc version 4.3.2 (default installed with Mandriva 2009.1)

In Kde 3 the large tool balloons (for the kmenu buttons and the icons usually immediately to the right of that button) could be turned off causing them to fall back to a much smaller and less intrusive description in black on yellow text. Kde 4.2.2 as released by Mandriva 2009.1 offers no such option that I can find. Google searches have revealed that this is apparently not yet supported by Kde 4. No existing bug for this feature was found either. I'd like to request the ability to change these tool balloons to a smaller text box like Kde 3 and/or turn them off altogether.
