Version:           1.4.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

When KMail fetches a new unread message and the user has selected the current top (or one of the top) messages, kmail should, like any other email client, scroll up to the newly arrived message. This current behavior is extremely unusable.
