Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

Right click desktop -> Add widgets
Install New Widgets
Download New Plasma Widgets

Select one, install, click Close.

Get 2 messages about "Installation of .... *.plasmoid" failed.  (screenshots forthcoming).

Turns out, the installation does seemingly work, as I can see and use them in subsequent runs of "Add Widgets".  fun.
