Thanks for the input, I agree. Currently the updates are done by an interval of 10 seconds, but forcing an update after such operations would be better. Peter Penz You say that current it's update every 10 seconds but for me it's not update. I open new bug for it at this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197123 I'm still affected by this issue, especially on external devices, in KDE 4.8.1. As you said, forcing an update after a delete/move/copy operation would be a good idea. This seems to be fixed on Dolphin 2.0, could anyone else confirm? I tested both from different instances of Dolphin, creating something from the Dolphin built-in terminal, and from Konsole. No, it is not :( What about using inotify to achieve this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inotify PS: Found out about inotify reading http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/record-monitor-linux-filesystem-changes-auditing.html Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 *** Bug 434509 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 470116 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
