yes, I'm a user of Amarok and I always show Amarok and kubuntu to my friends... Most of them don't know Amarok... Well... Now I'm interested in libre.fm and it would be perfect if Amarok has a plugin for it. I'm just a user. thanks =) I think the best way to fix this would be allow the user to configure where they would like their 'scrobbles' sent -- could be last.fm, could be libre.fm, could be localhost. Leaving it up to the user would be good :) I am adding my support for Amarok to make the scrobble site configuarble in some way. Thank you Matt, like I said in the previous report - no. We aren't going to hijack the Last.fm service so that you can use it with Libre.fm. I have just detailed a proposed plan for third party plugin devs which you were CC'd to, which would allow you to create a libre.fm plugin, and release it independent of Amarok proper. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 188952 *** We're not asking for the 'hijacking' of last.fm -- we're asking that users be able to configure which server their data is sent to. |
