Version: 1.2 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 104", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-pae

When using Dolphin in Root mode, starting the find file dialog leads to a rather long disk activity, in the taskbar a "kfind" entry appears, but ultimately nothing happens and the taskbar entry disappears.
In normal Dolphin mode everything is okay.

I have tried starting find file aka Kfind normally, no problem from console or from kickoff.
If you go into root mode in console, kfind will not start, so this is probably a problem with kfind or the konsole but not with dolphin. Should I therefore write a new bugreport for kfind?

I have filed a bug report under Konsole for this problem, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189450
The problem seemed to be linked to another problem https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189267
