Screenshot illutrating problem
It appears that this applet will resize itself, preserving aspect ratio, to take up the maximum amount of space that it can. A similar issue is to be had with the clock applet: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185447 A possible solution would be to use a horizontal switch instead of a vertical switch on vertical panels. The issue is fixed in trunk, though it looks a little bit squished compared to the old style in any form factor (vertical/horizontal panel and desktop). Perhaps in the future a different graphic should be used entirely? (Maybe a circular red/green button?) Maybe the icon could be simply tilted 90 degrees? |
