*** Bug 187716 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Both views are going to be merged in the new SystemSettings layout (to hopefully arrive for KDE4.4) Thanks System Settings reorganisation removed general / advanced categories. |
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages When using the search field in SystemSettings, only the active tab ("General" or "Advanced") is searched, but not both. If one looks for a setting without knowing whether it is advanced or not, one has to look at both tabs. I think it would be good to have an option to merge them into one view, for example using a checkbox. Also, the search field could search both tabs at once. This would make it faster to find the settings that one wants to change.
