Unfortunately I can't reproduce. Is that the only way to get the "connection timeout" message? Any possibility you could dig into this using a debugger? No, it is not the only one, but the others look sane -- i.e. there is really some timeout. In this case there is no real timeout. About the debugger, I just checked, I don't see -debug version of knode, and regular version produces no output in gdb. I wouldn't like to compile it by myself because it is live system, i.e. I use it. Hello!
