Turning off interval mail checking does not work around the problem, so this does *not* seem to be a race condition between initial and interval mail checking. There was a fix of a nasty IMAP bug in 4.2.3 I think. Do you still experience this duplication in KDE 4.3? Unfortunately, I am still seeing the mail duplication from time to time, although it happens very infrequently. Typically, one copy stays in the "Inbox" folder whereas the second copy shows up in the mail folder where the mail actually should end up as configured by a filter rule. Running KMail 1.12.4 on KDE 4.3.5. This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
