If I customize my Plasma theme with Desktop Theme details and do not supply a new name for it, it is saved in my Plasma theme list as (Customized).  I can then select that theme in the plasma appearance settings dialog.  However, if I then change it again and click "apply" the changes are not reflected in Plasma.  If I go into the plasma appearance settings dialog the customized theme is no longer selected, instead there is no theme selected.  I have to re-select customized and then the changes take effect.  If I leave the appearance settings dialog box open, even if I de-select and re-select the customized theme it still does not change to the updated theme.  I think clicking "apply" in the Desktop Theme Details dialog box should immediately apply any changes you have made if you currently have the customized theme selected in plasma.

The root cause of this behaviour (the module was unable to change the plasma theme when "Apply" is clicked) has been addressed in trunk with commit 1040925.
