Description doc.evans 2009-02-01 22:41:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The month view is rather restrictive. It would be much more useful to have the ability to view multiple weeks, configurable so that one could say something like "start this view such that last week is the first week displayed". This would allow one easily to view a week or two into the past and also several weeks into the future (on displays that can show many weeks).

Having a display that shows six weeks, it's very frustrating that today (for example) the "month" display comes up showing zero days in the past, since the 1st is the first day to be displayed. One could configure preferences for a multiweek view to show one or two weeks in the past, which would be much more useful.

I'm not suggesting that the month view be configurable in this way (although that would be a possibility too, but I think it would be confusing). A separate "multiweek" view would be a better solution to the need to view events in the recent past, I think.
