I guess what you propose is opposite to what "jump to last selected" says. I still can naviate (in kmail 1.11.0, kde 4.2.0) to the first mail using the right key (->) when there is no mail selected. No, Jump to last selected just applies if there is a "last selected" if there's no last selected, giving me a selected message is the logical thing in my mind. After all i clicked that folder so i want to read mail there no? Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
