This is because the xapian index is not rebuilt after a new repo is added. As a workaround you can run sudo update-apt-xapian-index Adept is upstream dead nowadays. It has been sucessfully replaced by alternatives like Apper and Muon. I think anybody cares about this bug today, thereore the bug could be closed. Adept has been in the unmaintained state for a few years. Use muon[1] as replacement . [1] https://launchpad.net/muon |
