I experience that some invalid graphics appear as background of the statusbar. It happens after some use of konqueror. 
I don't have steps to reproduce right now, but I will look out for when it happens. 
Usually the invalid graphics that appear as background will be something already shown, like a part of a webpage already rendered.
Some graphics buffer perhaps?
I have not tested this also happens with compositing disabled.

I will attach a screenshot.
My graphics card:VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

This is an example. Actually it was a part of the website in the 2. tab.
After clicking on the second tab, the graphics disappeared.
The tab was opened as a restore session tab when opening konqueror.
