Still valid? I'm using KDE 4.2.2 and when I click on a shortcut (we are talking about symlinks don't we?) the location opens in the same dolphin window and when I middleclick it opens in a new tab. Only when I create a URL file for the location it opens in a new window. So you can easily control the behaviour IMHO. Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. There are two possibilities, either the bug has been solved long ago (symlinks have the same opening treatment as regular folders) ; either he was talking about opening the targeted place of the link with the context menu (which is actually opened in a new window instead of a new tab) and for that there is Bug 406775 to get that option. |
