If you report the bug, you don't need to be in the CC list. Also, we need to know what actually crashed before you get the error as "KDE4 Workspace" is not enough information. Was it kwin, plasma, kded, or some other app? The error or crash is from bug#179247 - Executing Actions on Plasmoids causes whole KDE4 Workspace Crash only with Desktop Effects Enabled. I am gather dumps on that bug now. So the crash has been tracked down to a problem with X and the intel driver settings it to Accel Method of XAA. So i have resolved that with changing the Accel Method to EXA and things are working fine now.. I don't imagine i will see this error again because i don't plan on having the crash anymore.. but still im sure other crashes would cause this error. So another note. I have also noticed that this happens now with just logging off and not just a crash since i have fixed my crashing on logout. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Dear Bug Submitter, This is a reminder that this bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Close as this is no longer relevant Jabber / Google Talk is long dead. |
