I partly agree. While I don't think the dialog is too big (no netbook here), I think having tabs and allowing several search tabs to be open at the same time would be a good thing. On the other hand it should be clear to the user where the search results are going to appear. Not sure how to do that. It is an awesome idea! #1 You have one rules tab, and a lot of results tabs. Search results -- in such case in the last, newly opened tab. But you don't have to "look for" it. You define rules, you click "search", new tab is created as last one, and user is switcher right to it. #2 You have current FM in each tab (multiple tabs possible). Each tab consists of two "slide tabs" (left pane, symbols, in Kile for example). One slide tab is rules, another is results. Now I tend to like #2 more :-) Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
