When the screensaver-widgets (leave a note etc.) are turned on and I close my lid, the laptop freezes with a black screen before suspend finishes.
This only happens if I close the lid. When using the suspend-button in powerdevil, suspend works.
Closing the lid with the normal settings for locked screens, works as well. I can't really 
send any backtraces since the screen is black and does not react anymore.
I would like to supply more information but I don't know how.

can't reproduce at all... although powerdevil has been rather inconsistent about actually suspending from the lid switch (it claims it'll suspend in 10 seconds, but doesn't always do so, and I haven't quite figured out the conditions that make it fail...)

I can't think of any way that having plasma-overlay running would break suspend-to-ram. it just... doesn't make sense. but then, power management often doesn't make sense :(
