A similar feature is already planned. We still need to figure out the exact scope of the preview, i.e. only the current line (unless it is a math environment) or the whole paragraph. Michel, you are better than Santa Claus :-) Great news! Thank you. Ideally I would opt for paragraph (easier to get the meaning of what is written) but the key factor here is rather speed (for me). Btw. technical thing for the future -- for users with plenty of ram/hdd it would be nice addition to being able to store all parts of incremental preview. So having A and B lines, A is rendered, user goes to B, B is rendered, but when user goes back to A, A preview is fetched from the cache. Hi, I just stumbled over gummi (http://code.google.com/p/gummi/) and found the live preview alongside the editor very helpful. I think it would increase productivity for a lot of people if they could always immediately see a preview of what they just typed. Also having the editor and the preview next to each other works very well for modern widescreen monitors. I don't know how hard it is to embed a pdf preview widget (maybe poppler), but I would really like to see that feature in kile. What do you think? *** Bug 284121 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
