Thanks Clive for your report but next time remember to post ONE report for each wish. Now it is very difficult to track all the suggestions. Going to your requests: 0) backup of knotes: not yet requested, please open a new wish for it 1) many notes = slowliness: bug #192562 2) stick notes to files/programs: bug #198655 3) clip notes (merge notes): like point `0' 4) notes index: like point `0' 5) search has been implemented, but sometimes it crashes (there is bug report for this issue too) 6) delete empty notes: like point `0' :-) About the "save" feature I don't agree: when you "save as" a note, you make a copy of it and the note doesn't remember where you've saved it, so a "save" action doesn't have any sense: a note is not like a text document which you open, edit and save. You could give a try to kjots, a handy notebook, it doesn't display "post it" like notes, but you can manage a lot of notes together. "I like very much being able to change the directory I save or print a file to and retain this setting for future use." I agree this would be a good feature because notes could then be synchronised between computers, for example over the Internet using Dropbox or manually using a USB memory stick. "I wish one could create an index of one's knotes with headings and subheadings." I agree this would be useful. KNotes is no longer maintained since 24.08. Please migrate to Marknote. https://apps.kde.org/marknote/ See https://invent.kde.org/sysadmin/release-tools/-/merge_requests/53 |
