In KDE 4.1 ksnapshot is not run automatically when the Print Screen button is pressed. The application must be opened manually by the user.

In KDE 3/ Kubuntu 7.1., the Print Screen button did work after pressing the Print Screen button. Probably Gutsy is a useful reference when looking for a way repair this bug.

The exact version of KSnapshot we are dealing with, is this one:
Version 0.8.1, Using KDE 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2).
