I am having some difficulty creating a global keybinding to a numeric keypad key using the "Keyboard Shortcuts" settings applet.

For example, say I want to bind "Ctrl + keypad 7" to "Switch to Desktop 1": when I type this sequence it is registered as "Ctrl + 7" (or "Ctrl + Home" if NumLock happens to be off).  Then "Ctrl + 7" (using the top-row "7" key) will switch to desktop 1, but "Ctrl + keypad 7" has no effect.

In previous versions this key sequence would be registered as "Ctrl + KP_7" or "Ctrl + KP_Home", depending on the NumLock state, and handled correctly.  I've worked around the problem using xbindkeys but I'm assuming this should work in KDE?

Apologies if this is a duplicate or I if just have some old 3.x configuration messing things up (although in that case some pointers to what to delete would be appreciated...)

I can confirm this bug: when I added a global shortcut on Numeric keypad 2, the shortcut is instead placed on the ordinary "arrow down" key and pressing Numeric keypad 2 has no effect (kubuntu 8.10)
