*** Bug 192717 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Yes, I get this sometimes too, even now. There are a few things in here, but I'd suggest that one thing that could make the search folders "feel" more permanent, would be the following: - When you right-click on an existing search folder, rather than having "find messages", it should say "modify search" or something. - Then, when you click on this to get to to the search window, it should remember the existing search. At present, it resets to empty search criteria. Thanks. This bug continues in 1.11.3 (KDE 4.2.3) as reported in #192717 and in KMail Version 1.13.2 (KDE 4.4.2). Search settings are stored in .kde/share/apps/kmail/search/<foldername> but not recalled as done in KMail: 1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (kde 3.5.8). So this bug is a regression. *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
