Panel with 2 apps removed from the systray. As can be seen from the screenshot the clock and systray are not right aligned.

Description tamarr 2008-09-07 09:11:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I would like for there to be a possiblity to have either spacers on the panel or for the widgets to go anywhere. For example, I want to move my System Tray slightly to the right, so that it is right next to my Desktop Pager, but it keeps moving back to the centre, between the clock and the desktop pager.
I propose that you either build adjustable spacers to place on the panel to fill up the space, or that the widgets be able to be placed wherever on the panel.

I second this wish. I would like to keep the clock and systray on the right
side of the panel. But as the icons are being added and removed to and from
the systray, the size of the systray differs, depending on the number of
applications stored in the systray. See the attached screenshots for the
changes when 2 apps (kaffeine and amarok) are removed from the systray.

Perhaps it is possible to add a property to the panel widgets to position itself
as far right as possible (comparable to the css float property perhaps?).

Isn't this a dupe of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=180168 ?
