Description Vincent Panel 2008-08-26 14:32:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

It's weird... but to reproduce follow the steps below :
1) Go to http://www.ask.com
2) Type anything in the search box
3) In the search results page, try to hover some links
4) If they don't disappear, hit ctrl so that you get the keyboard shortcuts to navigate
5) Try to hover some links again
6) At some point in time, you should see all the clickable items vanishing right under your cursor

I don't know if it's a konqueror or www.ask.com bug, but I guess it's coming from both.

I'll attach two screenshots

I confirm the bug in 3.5.9 but seems it was already fixed in 4.1 . It seems it's also a duplicate of bug 153745. You can try and apply the patch mentioned in the other bug and see if the problem is solved for yourself.

I can reproduce on kde 4.1 also, what i did:

- Started Suse kde four live 1.1.0 (kde 4.1) in vmware virtual machine.
- Connected to fr.ask.com (not www.ask.com).
- Searched any word and then the links disappear on mouse hover

If you reload the page the problem goes away.
To reproduce i think must have konqueror with cache cleaned....

FYI, I can't reproduce this behaviour using konqueror 4.1 under Mandriva Cooker. I'm going to have a look at the patch for 3.5.9

Forgot to mention: same behaviour as described on comment #4 with patched version of 3.5.9
