Version:            (using KDE 4.0.83)

I configured shortcuts for Kmix to control volume and mute sound , for my Dell Laptop Multimedia keys. It works fine. But the shortcut settings are lost after I logout and login.

Same bug in KDE 4.0.84.

Yes It looks so, and I have experienced the problem mentioned in that bug report too

This bug has disappeared since the kde 4.0.98 version. Works good now.
