Sentry Crash Report:

Description Diederik van der Boor 2008-06-29 13:11:04 UTC
Version: onbekend (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2) "release 4.2", KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop / openSUSE_10.3)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

The bug reporter is really useful to report bugs. It does have one annoyance for me: selecting a different application is quite hard.

Suggestions:
- use two select boxes, one for the application name, the second for the subpart.
- display the icon for the selected application.
- add a search box.

Thanks for your time!

Just wanted to report the same, please do this. As I am filing a load of bugs, this would really help me with my work.

if you file a lot of bugs, use http://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi - you need bugsquad rights, but you will get it if you file high quality bugs.

I tend to avoid http://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi because kbugreport fills in a lot of fields for me.

IMHO any action which lowers the barier to report bugs is a good thing, including making kbugreport more user friendly.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
